Ai Arctander is said to be living in Tokyo with Teru Miyanaga while her husband, Kai Miyanaga lives in Nagano with Saki Miyanaga. The reason why the two is living separately wasn't yet revealed but they are not divorced.
She was brought up during an interview that Junko Nishida conducted. Junko mentions that twenty years ago she was a prominent professional player. Junko then hands the old lady a picture and she confirms that she is Saki and Teru's mother.
But Junko Nishida thinks that the Miyanaga Ai that is known to be Teru's mother that she have seen from the past and Ai Arctander, the professional player whom the old woman confirmed to be Teru and Saki's mother are not much the same person.
Etymology[]
- The name Ai means "love, affection" (愛).
- Ai's surname Miyanaga means "temple, shrine, palace" (宮) (miya) and "eternal" (永) (naga).
- Her maiden name Arctander is in Latinised Greek and can be traced in Norwegian families. The first part (アーク) (Arc) means "arctic", and the second part (タンデ) (Tander) derives from the Greek word andros meaning "man".
