Ayumu Sugino (杉乃 歩 Sugino Ayumu) is a maid in the Touka Ryuumonbuchi household and a first-year student at Ryuumonbuchi High School.
Appearance[]
Ayumu has a short hair tied into pigtails and purple eyes.She is seen wearing a maid outfit with a pink ribbon in the middle and red tied ribbons in her long sleeve dress with puffed on the sleeves
Personality[]
Ayumu has a crush on Touka Ryuumonbuchi and often gets into arguments with Hajime Kunihiro because of this. She appears to be shy and bashful to what others think of her.
Plot[]
Introduction Arc[]
We first see Ayumu when she is answering the phone and tells Touka Ryuumonbuchi of their seeding in the prefectural tournament. She later arrives at the tournament hall with the rest of Ryuumonbuchi.
Prefectural Tournament Arc[]
During Ryuumonbuchi's second round match, Koromo Amae is absent, so if the team didn't finish up the match early, she would have to play in Koromo's place. Luckily she was spared this fate thanks to Jun Inoue finishing the match as the vanguard. In the car ride home Ayumu thanks her repeatedly.
That night back at the manor, Ayumu informs the rest that Koromo has been sleeping all day and Jun warns her that she will really have to play if Koromo is absent again. Ayumu appears in a Koromo flashback that occurs during her battle. Here she tells Touka that Koromo hasn't been able to make friends in school. Throughout the rest of the finals she is seen beside the others of Ryuumonbuchi and during Hajime and Touka's conversation, she is in the background showing her jealousy.
Individual Tournament *Anime Only Arc*[]
After the team tournament, Touka Ryuumonbuchi decides to relax at Sports Land Ryuumon before the individual tournament and Ayumu comes along. Later, when Ryuumonbuchi is deciding on whether or not to attend Kiyosumi's training camp, she seen is serving tea to the club members.
Combined Training Camp Arc[]
In the Achiga anime, Ayumu appears in the background at Ryuumonbuchi High School when Achiga comes to play the mahjong club.
Etymology[]
- The name Ayumu means "walk" (歩).
- Auyumu's surname Sugino means "cedar" (杉) (sugi) and "from" (乃) (no).
Trivia[]
- Although Ayumu only appears once during a flashback in the manga, her role is greatly expanded in the anime.
- She also makes an appearance in the game Saki Portable as a playable character.
