Joining the Mahjong Team Arc[]
Kaori wins very early on off of Fuuko Muroto with a mangan. She then gets close to the camera and declares her victory causing the official to give her a warning. Nanami Fujishiro scolds her and when Kaori thinks about it, she puffs up and says that bad mouthing is against the rules too. The next hand she declares riichi and passes on a winning tile before sanbaiman tsumo. Kaori thinks back to her time with her grandmother and the words she chose to live by. Kaori says all she needs to do is believe and wait. She ignores another winning tile to win with a haneman tsumo. Nanami speaks up and analyzes the table then bad mouths them. Kaori feels different and says that Nanami gives her the creeps. She declares riichi but is confused when she cannot win and plays into Nanami's hand. Her confidence then begins to waver and is barely heard declaring another riichi and is called out by Yurai Sugawara. With Nanami continuing to win, Kaori's confidence is shattered to the point where she says she doesn't even know how to play anymore.
Play Style/Abilities[]
Kaori has a plain but stable playing style that balances between Attacking and Defending. She has a high scoring rate and a high hand winning rate. However, once or twice per hanchan , she ignores winning tiles but afterwards has an abnormally high win rate.
