Kotone Nakamuta (中牟田 琴音 Nakamuta Kotone) is a a third year student at Senriyama Girls' High School and a member of their mahjong club who is a substitute member of the mahjong team that took part in the 71st Inter High School Mahjong Championships.

After Ryuuka Shimizudani apologizes, Kotone tells her that Toki Onjouji did so as well. She then says that it is true that this was her last chance to participate in the tournament but she would've felt bad for Toki. She then tells Ryuuka that Toki would have a greater impact on the younger students than she ever would.
While watching Hiroe Atago make a move, Ryuuka explains it then asks where Toki is. Kotone tells her that she looked exhausted and finally went to the nap room.
