She is first shown in the hospital being visited by Hayari. However while the child was asleep, she began to have a coughing fit and the nurses were summoned. After her release, she insists that they must go eat gyudon at a restaurant because of the atmosphere. While talking with Hayari, they mention a women who got Hayari to stop crying and says that she has seen that tile trick on television before.
They then walk past a concert being held by Mafuka Kasugai.
