- At the time of the end of the match, the anime and manga were published near simultaneously. This led into some errors in the TV airing version of episode 19. Saki's hand before the first kan had 44pin instead of the intended 45pin, which meant that a ron on the 1pin was actually worth baiman. Additionally, a thousand points were lost at some point, which turned the 1500 point victory margin into a 500 point one. These errors were not present in the manga and were corrected in later releases of the anime, but some errors still persist in the English subtitles.
