Introduction Arc (Toki manga)[]
Tae was supposed to escort the president to the big match but she wandered off. When she finally catches up the president hits her on the head and says the school is too big and for her to be quiet because they're in the middle of the match. Tae then asks everyone to forgive the president. Throughout the match she continues to talk with the president. She notices Toki Onjouji and Ryuuka Shimizudani's skill level and tells the president that she had no idea Ryuuka was that good.
Izumi Challenge Arc[]
Tae welcomes Toki Onjouji, Ryuuka Shimizudani, Youko Nogami, and Ayumi Shinji to the mahjong club even though they are temporary members. After a bit of conversation, the girls play a game where Chie grabs points sticks and guesses the numbers. She guesses right and everyone is impressed. Tae explains that Chie has great sensitivity in her fingers and then they begin to argue over who is the real older sister. They all then splint into groups and play three player mahjong. After the games, Chie, Tae, and Yayoi talk about an agreement and the Malefic Star.
Practice Game Arc[]
When Tae was bragging about Ryuuka during the open class, Chie was a bit jealous being the only one in a different class.
The club tries to figure out who will play, Chie and Tae say they will play two in one seat so everyone can play. Chie is seated with Youko, Ayumi, and Izumi Nijou at a table, while Tae is behind. Tae notices that Yayoi is extremely nervous and making silly errors. We then get a flashback. Chie and Tae were the long members of the mahjong club till Yayoi appeared. They play a game and work together till Yayoi wins a hand. Chie and Tae accept her as a member and tell her club activities are two days a week. Back in the present the two girls write encouraging words to Yayoi on a cup when they see her struggling. She is later shown trying to teach Youko bad words.
Confrontation Arc[]
She is seen making commentary throughout the match. At the end of the game, she feels Ryuuka had it rough and then comforts the president.
Joining the Mahjong Team Arc[]
While sulking in a stairwell, Chie and Tae run into Yayoi. Yayoi yells at them for joining the ping pong team and they tell her that they've became regulars in the doubles division but then Yayoi begins to cry. She tells the twins of her worries and they end up comforting her.

With her twin Chie, Tae has the ability to know which tiles Chie has and thus the pair are able to cooperate with each other in the middle of a game. However, they recognize that outside of their ability, their level of play is comparatively lower than other players.
