If the Wiki Standard for article display is Given Name, Family Name. Why did you make her article start with her Surname? Ju~su (talk) 10:06, December 16, 2013 (UTC)
Myeonghwa is her surname, Choe is her given name. Remember that in most Asian countries they say their last name followed by their first name. TheWickedWizardOfOz (talk) 06:59, December 17, 2013 (UTC)
- Incorrect. Choe is the surname; it is a Korean surname. Standard practice for Korean names when Anglicized is that it is written in [Family name] [Given name] format like in Chinese, whereas Japanese name is [Given name] [Family name].
- This is also why Hao Huiyu is also written as [Family name] [Given name], where Hao is her family name. Arsonal (talk) 11:27, December 17, 2013 (UTC)
- Then that's my bad, and I apologise; I'm not as familiar with Korean last names as I am others. TheWickedWizardOfOz (talk) 04:08, December 19, 2013 (UTC)
